Sign Up Your Swimmer for Meets

By declaring your swimmer's availability, it lets the coaching staff know who has committed to swim and, therefore, who to enter into the swim events. If you don't sign up for a meet by the deadline, you can't swim in that meet. No late entries, no exceptions. If you say yes to a meet, you should make every effort to attend. If you need to pull out of a meet and can't change your declaration online because it is after the deadline, follow the coaches' add/drop procedures (see below) for notifying them of your change. After the registration deadline the coaches are working to create the individual and relay line up for the meet. Several days before the meet the entries are locked in and sent to the hosting team. When swimmers pull from a meet, it creates unnecessary work for our coaching staff and the volunteer computer scoring of the team that is hosting the meet.  

Note: You DO NOT need to sign up your swimmer for a specific race (stroke) or heat at meets. You just need to declare for the meet itself. The coaches will manage the race heats and who swims what.

What is the add/drop form?

Deadlines for Meet Sign-up

  • Dual Meets: 1 week in advance
  • Boys/Girls & High School Invitationals: 1 week in advance
  • City & Classic Championship Meets: As soon as you know which meet your swimmer will attend!

Sign-up Using SportsEngine Mostion (formerly Team Unify) Webpage >> HuntingtonEstatesSwimming.com 

  • Go to www.HuntingtonEstatesSwimming.com and sign into (click on the signin link located in the upper right corner of our home page).
    • When you log in, you might be navigated directly to SportsEngine Motion. If you are already signed in (you'll see you rname in the upper right corner), you can access SportsEngine Motion one of two ways:
      • You can click on "Events" from the top navigation
      • You can click "My Account" from the drop down below your name in the upper right corner to access SportsEngine Motion. Once in SportsEngine Motion, click on "Events & Competition" from the left column, and then click on "Team Events" from under the Calendar subhead.
    • You will see the full list of events for the season.
    • Navigate to the event for which you want to declare.
    • Click "Edit Commitment" (note: if you are not signed in, you will see "Attend/Decline" instead of "Edit Commitment."
    • Click on your swimmer's name
    • Use the dropdown under the Signup Record to declare for the meet. You will choose between the following two options:
      • "Yes, please sign [name] up for this event", or
      • "No, thanks, [name] will NOT attend this event."
    • Check the day/session box
    • Optional: Use the "Notes" box to leave a message for the coaching staff, e.g., "Please sign my swimmer up for backstroke, as he/she is trying to get a City time." Otherwise, leave this section blank.
    • Click "Save Changes"
  • Repeat the process above for EACH SWIMMER and for EACH MEET.

** Please note that if you wish to change your swimmers availability, and the deadline has NOT passed, the option will read "Edit Commitment," and you repeat the above steps to change your swimmer's status. Again, make sure to save changes.

If you need to change your swimmers status for a meet after the deadline, please fill out the Add/Drop form on the website. If any questions come up, feel free to email Coach Thad. No adds will be accepted up to 2 days prior to the day of a meet.
